Football ’86 is provided by BRETD Studio ("Football ’86," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Football ’86 iOS app.
Football ’86 does not require an account. We do not sell personal information, serve third-party advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Information stored on your device
The app stores the following information locally on your device so it can remember your choices and operate efficiently:
- whether you completed onboarding;
- favorite and followed college and NFL teams;
- your selected conference or NFL division;
- haptics and visual-effect settings; and
- cached football data, such as schedules, scores, standings, statistics, and game details.
These preferences are not uploaded to us as a user profile and are not associated with an account. You can change your selections in the app. Deleting the app removes the app’s locally stored preferences and cache, subject to any device backups controlled by you or Apple.

Information processed when the app connects to our service
Football ’86 connects to a BRETD Studio data service to retrieve college football and NFL schedules, scores, standings, statistics, game details, and related weather information.
When the app makes these requests, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. This may include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- request date and time;
- requested endpoint and query information, such as a date, game identifier, team identifier, or statistics category;
- response status and performance information; and
- basic device, operating-system, network, and security metadata ordinarily included with an internet request.
The app does not send us your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifier, or a Football ’86 account identifier. Search text and saved team preferences are processed on your device and are not uploaded as a profile.

How we use information
We use limited technical information only to:
- provide the football data and features you request;
- maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability;
- detect abuse or malicious activity; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use this information for third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, data brokerage, or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.

Service providers and data sources
Our data service is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network traffic and limited request metadata on our behalf to deliver, secure, and monitor the service. Cloudflare’s handling of information is also governed by its privacy commitments: Cloudflare Privacy Policy
Our server obtains sports and weather information from third-party data sources. Those providers receive requests from our server rather than your Football ’86 account information or your device’s IP address. We do not authorize our service providers to use app-related information for advertising or tracking, and we require them to protect information consistently with applicable law and their agreements with us.
Apple may separately process information related to App Store downloads, purchases, device diagnostics, or services you choose to share with Apple. Apple handles that information under its own privacy policies.

Retention and deletion
Football ’86 does not maintain user accounts or permanent user profiles.
Cloudflare Worker invocation logs may retain limited request and diagnostic metadata for up to seven days, depending on the service plan, after which those logs expire automatically. Cloudflare may retain limited network or security information as described in its own policies or as required by law.
Information stored locally remains on your device until you change it, clear it through available device controls, or delete the app. Because the app does not create an account or persistent user identifier, we generally cannot connect a particular server request to a named individual.
If you contact us for support, we may retain the information you voluntarily provide for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Your privacy choices and rights
You may:
- change favorite teams, followed teams, conference or division selections, and app settings within Football ’86;
- delete the app to remove locally stored app information; and
- contact us to ask a privacy question or exercise rights available under applicable law.
Football ’86 does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We therefore do not offer a separate opt-out for the sale or sharing of personal information.

Children’s privacy
Football ’86 is a general-audience sports app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Cloudflare operates a global network, so limited technical information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to applicable safeguards.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Football ’86 or its data practices change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated when required by law.
